A+ A A-

Distinction from the disorderly. For Liberty.

People getting raped, defecation, smoking pot and getting naked. All of the famous yet understated trade marks of the Occupy Wall Street movement. A movement that has cost cities like Oakland, millions of dollars in lost revenue, police overtime and less volume for local businesses. I think it is interesting to note the striking differences between the media scrutiny of this movement and the Tea Party--a true grassroots movement that Ron Paul helped to start. First off, the signage and the blatant disregard for property and decency. Signs that are anti-semetic, if seen at a Tea Party would surely have brought hell to the movement. Yet we see nothing from the media in terms of outrage at the OWS protestors? Why?

I think that question is easily answered by most libertarians and conservatives; the media establishment all went to the same universities as the protestors. Harvard, Yale, the big Ivy-League Schools that breed keynesian econimics and progressive ideaology. The double standard really is sickening. More importantly, I think it is important to distinguish oneself from the movement. Yes we can agree that corpratism and militarism are destroying this country, BUT, it is more important to draw a stark contrast. The OWS protestors have been backed by the communist party, the American Nazi Party, and even Hezbollah.
As a Paul supporter, do you really want to associate your idealogy with these people? I dont. I think Ron Paul made an error by going down to Wall Street and showing his support for the protestors. Before you start attacking me, think about what was just mentioned--there are a lot more radicals down there, then there is die hard libertarians and free market individuals.

Ron Paul and the r3VOLution should not take any advice on OWS. We spread our message peacefully, without rape, arrest or violence. Ron Paul is the only standard for Libertarian-Republicans. Not OWS, not the Media. Lets be different, by being American. Protesting and getting the message across peacefully is the only way we can get the electorate to wake up, and smell the freedom that is barely catching its breath in this country.
